Peterborough’s Most Popular Business Club Relaunches with Event at its Historic Home

Peterborough’s most popular business club is relaunching in the same historic venue it held meetings in for more than 25 years, with an event featuring internationally renowned guest speakers.

Between 1992 and 2020 The Peterborough Business Club held fortnightly meetings at The Bell Inn in Stilton, Cambridgeshire, attracting members from all across the city and the wider region. Now the Club, which has been renamed The Original Business Club to highlight its historic past, is relaunching with an event at the same venue on Tuesday 14th September.

Previously run by prominent local businessman Brian Soanes, the Club meetings saw up to 80 local business leaders attending each fortnight to hear from speakers and make valuable business connections. Three established Peterborough-based business owners have now taken on the Club and are aiming to make it more successful than ever before. They are Joseph Reilly of marketing agency Joseph Creative, Dan Russell of telecoms company Quadrant Tech, and Mark Underwood of consultancy practice CMU Partners.

Mr Reilly said: “The Business Club has a long and prestigious history in Peterborough, and numerous valuable connections and relationships were developed over the years.

“We are bringing that back to the city and the region, with fortnightly meetings like before in the same beautiful venue, and will be featuring more guest speakers so that every meeting is about much more than just business networking.

“Our focus is on knowledge sharing and helping business leaders and the local economy develop and grow, and we aim to do this through bringing back the hugely popular meetings along with introducing new benefits such as online tools and services.”

At the launch event on Tuesday 14th September, the guest speakers will be internationally renowned NLP and executive coaching experts Bevis Moynan and Paul Ward, who will give a talk on the Art of Public Speaking.

Business owners and leaders from Peterborough and the surrounding region can secure a free place at the launch event by registering at www.theoriginalbusinessclub.co.uk. A time-limited membership offer will also be available to attendees at the meeting.
